Frequently Asked Questions

When should I get my flu jab?

The best time is from September through to November, before flu typically starts circulating. We continue vaccinating throughout the winter, so it’s never too late.

Yes. Flu vaccines have been used safely for decades. Adult flu vaccines offered at pharmacies are typically inactivated (non-live) injections, which cannot give you the flu.

No. Some people feel a mild ache in the arm or slightly under the weather for a day — that’s your immune system responding, not flu.
Adults aged 65+, pregnant women, people with certain long-term conditions, carers, and frontline health and social care workers. We’ll check your eligibility when you book.
Private flu vaccinations start from £18 per person. Group bookings for workplaces are available — please ask in store.
In most cases yes — including the COVID-19 booster. Let us know what you’ve had recently and we’ll advise during screening.
